[BioTimes] A new competitor is joining the PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotide) market, which has established itself as a representative ingredient in K-beauty. PYDERIN, known as a skincare brand exclusively for hospitals and clinics, is expanding its consumer reach by launching 'REJUVUSTER', a regenerating cream exclusively for pharmacies.
Recently, the pharmacy skincare market has seen trusted ingredient products gaining attention. Following antibiotic ointment 'Esroban', 'Azalea Cream' for sensitive skin, and moisturizing 'Panthenol', PDRN-based products, a regenerating ingredient, are emerging as the next strong contenders, changing the category landscape itself. In particular, as more consumers seek to quickly resolve skin concerns at 'pharmacies, not hospitals', pharmacies are evolving from simple drug purchase points into 'skincare solution channels'.
REJUVUSTER, launched amidst this trend, is PYDERIN's first product that applies the know-how cultivated in the hospital and clinic market to the pharmacy market. According to the company, it contains 10,000 ppm of 99% pure PDRN derived from domestic salmon and applies an ultra-low molecular weight design of 97 kDa to enhance absorption. In addition, clinical trials have confirmed its effectiveness in improving wrinkles, whitening, and skin damage.
A PYDERIN official said, "REJUVUSTER is not only designed with high purity and high content, but also enhances formulation stability and usability so that consumers can easily use it in their daily lives," adding, "Based on our expertise in the hospital and clinic market, we will target pharmacy channels to lead the popularization of the PDRN regenerating cream category."
